Billy McBride (Billy Bob Thornton) saunters down an alleyway, as the mural comes to life. It begins as a parting of the Red Sea, making way for him, but as it builds with characters, locations, and antagonists, the waves rise to the top, threatening to crash on him.

After seeing Joel Artista’s beautiful art online, we commissioned him as our primary muralist to set the tone for our scene. We built an alleyway canvas for him to fill, and proceeded to take photos of it in layers of progress, so we could rebuild it and animate the elements in post.
